On November 11, 2025, the "Career Talks with Europass & Euroguidance" event took place at the Osvitoria Hub in Kyiv, marking Global Careers Month in Ukraine. This event was part of an international initiative that unites career development and mobility professionals worldwide. However, the most significant part of the day was the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Europass, яке вже два десятиліття допомагає мільйонам людей впевнено планувати свою кар’єру та шукати нові можливості.
The event was officially opened by Yurii BalaniukHead of the National Qualifications Agency. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of career counseling development in Ukraine, particularly in the context of integrating European tools like Europass into the professional journey of Ukrainians.
Europass 20th Anniversary: A Milestone in Career Development
One of the most significant parts of the event was the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Europass,which has become an essential tool for millions of people across Europe. Over the past two decades, Europass has not only standardized CVs but also promoted mobility, education, and career opportunities. This anniversary celebration symbolized Europass's successful operation in Ukraine, where new opportunities have been created for Ukrainian citizens to develop their careers in Europe and beyond.
Event Program
The event's program was divided into three key parts, each of which marked an important milestone for professionals in the field of career counseling.
1️⃣ Presentation of Europass and Euroguidance Initiatives
Participants learned about the new opportunities offered by these European tools for education, mobility, and career development. Europass, in particular, allows individuals to create standardized documents that help present their skills and qualifications effectively on the European labor market.
2️⃣ Presentation of Europass & Euroguidance Ambassadors
A highlight of the event was the official ceremony announcing the results of the ambassador selection process and awarding certificates to the Europass and Euroguidance ambassadors. This prestigious title was given to professionals who have made significant contributions to the development of career counseling in Ukraine. Vasyl Fediuk,a member of the National Qualifications Agency, joined in the congratulatory remarks and presented the certificates, praising the ambassadors for their role in advancing the European educational space in Ukraine.
3️⃣ Panel Discussion: "Challenges in Career Counseling: From Tools to Results"
The final part of the event was a panel discussion on modern approaches and effective practices in career counseling. The discussion was moderated by Zlata Tiahunova, a career consultant and HR expert, PhD in management. Speakers included Inna Miakota, Aliona Fedko, Tetiana Diahil, Alina Vasylenko, and Alla Hichko, who shared their experience and approaches to supporting the professional development of Ukrainians, as well as discussing the challenges and new opportunities in career counseling.
Summary
Thanks to this event, not only was Europass's 20th anniversary celebrated, but new opportunities for career development in Ukraine and abroad were also created. The anniversary marked a significant milestone in the strengthening of professional potential for Ukrainians, helping them build successful careers on an international scale.
